The boat bookcase in my baby’s nursery is the room’s ‘Piece of Resistance’ and I am thankful my husband has the talent {and the tools} to handcraft such beautiful things! But, what’s the use of a having a bookcase cluttered with stuffed animals? {no, no more stuffed animals please!}. Books are better!. I bought books for my baby when I was pregnant {gotta start’em early}.
So, friends and family always ask: What’s in the bookcase? Do you read to baby? Oh, yes! and he seems to enjoy each and every book since he was very little.
Here are my favorite picks and why I like them so much:
Before I Go To Sleep: it has a lovely vintage look, it’s light and thin.
The pictures are amazingly beautiful.
When you turn the pages it’s almost like if you were touching a beautiful painting.
It depicts a little boy ready to go to bed. He says night-night to mommy, daddy, teddy bear, the moon and the stars while sailing away on a red boat flying over town visiting grandma’s and grandpa’s house. Very cute!
Help me to enjoy taking care of this little child today.
Please give me all the energy and patience I need.
Amen. “
