Our baby was born with very tiny white dots on his cheeks. We didn’t know that a newborn could have acne! Yes, it’s called baby acne and I thought it would go away within days. But it did not. It only got worse and I could not stand seeing my newborn’s cheeks so red and sore.
I looked for an answer online and I read on a forum that cold compresses of Chamomile Tea would dry it out in a few days. Tea is a natural astringent and that’s what you want to use on your newborn baby’s brand new skin.

What to do?
1. Prepare a bag of chamomile tea every other night and put it in the fridge in an airtight container.
2. Soak a cotton ball in the cold tea and pat your baby’s cheeks around 4 times daily.
Like a miracle!. The acne was gone for good within a week.
It is important to prepare a new tea bag every other day because it goes bad, even in the fridge.
As an “added bonus” it helped me refresh -not cure- my baby’s eye. He was born with a clogged tear duct and the chamomile compress would soothe his eye and relieve the redness.
It’s worth trying, you could never go wrong with natural and organic treatments.
Thanks for visiting, have a wonderful day!
